The Dart 10k swim is organised annually by the Outdoor Swimming Society and goes downstream along the River Dart in Devon from Totnes to Dittisham. It takes place in September and I did it with the Adventure Daughter on 15 September 2018. When I say "did it with", as she swims like a fish and I swim like a brick, we both passed down the same river but one of us in several hours less time than the other! It was a great day - we have certainly been lucky with the weather on our swimming events, and it passes through a very scenic part of the country. The organisation was brilliant, especially when you consider the logistics of getting hundreds of swimmers and their clothes reconnected after a 6 mile linear route. A special thank you to the board rescuers and especially a guy called Ben. I didn't need a rescue but I was given an inordinate amount of encouragement and support from Ben which enabled me to complete the journey, albeit as the slowest finisher on the day. This was a 60at60 I wasn't confident I could do, so great memories have been made.
